Lighted Glass Block

This is another fun idea for Christmas. They are glowing Christmas glass boxes.

All you need is a glass box that you can get at home depot or most home stores. The size that you want is 8x8x3. Next, you drill a hole in the back with a diamond bit hole cutter. 1/2 inch bit works great. You can find these at most hardware stores. I picked mine up for about $7.00. Remember when you are drilling glass use water to cool the blade down and to wash away excess glass. I just used a water bottle, and squirted as I went. Don't push too hard. You don't want the glass to brake. It took me about 3-4 minutes to cut each block. Please be careful when cutting. Use safty glasses, and remember you are dealing with glass. I have made these blocks without the lights, and they look good too. It is just fun to have a glowing box.
Decorate time: Wrap a bow around the block. I got my ribbon at the dollar store. Put the vinyl on the block. Stuff the glass box with a string of white mini lights. About 10-20 lights. Plug it in and you have a wonderful christmas decor.

Autumn Blocks

These are great season blocks. I will post the winter, spring and summer blocks soon.

Directions: Cut a 2x4 board into 2 1/2 inch blocks. If you want the pumpkin pattern please email me, and I will send it to you. You will need a 2x6 board for the pumpkin. Paint the blocks and sand the edges. Apply the vinyl letters. Put a piece of material around the pumpkin for an added touch.

Magnet Picture Board

This is a fun way to display your pictures.
You take a 10x9 inch board and paint it any color. You need a metal plate that you can pick up at any hardware store. I got mine at Home Depot in the roofing section. It was already cut to the perfect size. Drill a hole in every corner, so it is easy to tap your nail in. Line up the metal on the board to where you would like it. Tape an upholstery nail in each corner. Apply your vinyl. I used ribbon to hang mine. I attached it to the back with a staple gun, but you can drill 2 holes in your wood and put the ribbon through it. You can make your own magnets, or buy some.

Vinyl Lettering:

1-5: $2.50
6+: $2.00

Glass Etching on Pyrex

Who ever came up with idea is a genius! I love having my name on my dishes so I will never loose them at a pot luck or when I give dinner to another family.
This is so easy to do. All you need is a vinyl stencil with your name on it as a stencil, etching cream (Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream - Permanent) , paint brush, and your Pyrex dish.

You put your stencil on your glass. Paint your etching cream on the glass showing in your stencil. (put a lot on there, so you know it is working) Wait 25 minutes and wash off. Peal your vinyl off and wash with windex and your done. Easy, Easy Easy! This is a great gift for anyone. For all those non crafters, this is the perfect super Saturday idea. The etching will not go away when you bake it or wash it. It is permanent!

Last Name Template:

1-5 :$3.50
each
6 or more: $3.00 each

If you want flowers or other items next to your name it will cost $.50 more.

Family Home Evening Boards

This is always a hit for Super Saturday! You can also change the wording to Chore Chart and list household duties. The board is 8x24x1. You just paint it with craft paint, and sand the edges if you like the look. Apply the vinyl. Place the sawtooth hangers on the back. Hammer in the horse shoes nails in the front below each activity, to hang your name tags on. Paint your name tags and put your vinyl name on it. Hang with wire or string. My kids love it, and it is a fun reminder that FHE is every week.

Family Blocks

These family blocks are hot items right now. I have made these for ward craft night, and girls night out.
You will need a 4x6 board. The blocks are 2 1/2 inches wide. The tallest blocks are "F" and "L". You will not need to cut the height on these blocks. Cut the other blocks to fit the vinyl letters.

(the "a" in family will be like the set in blue)
